ULEMCo is among the finalists for the 2023 VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards.
The awards celebrate the efforts of companies working to reduce pressure on the planet’s resources, accelerate action towards net zero and reinforce the symbiotic relationship between the economy and the environment.
The shortlist covers a wide range of sectors including transport, food and drink, construction and tourism. ULEMCo is one of four companies listed in the Service Scotland category.
ULEMCo’s work with Aberdeen City Council – equipping a fleet of utility vehicles to run on hydrogen fuel – has been widely noted. The company has demonstrated a practical and economic approach for fleet managers to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions to ultra-low levels without delay.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in November.
