ULEMCo has received prestigious recognition by the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA) at its annual Awards & Networking Dinner. The Design & Innovation Award was presented to ULEMCo for its work on hydrogen mobility and the ZeHyDA project in particular.
ZeHyDA introduced the world’s first ‘zero-emission’ HyICE™ powertrain, using a 100% hydrogen internal combustion engine connected to an electric drivetrain as a ‘series hybrid’. This provides a practical, cost-effective solution allowing specialist vehicle owners to decarbonise their fleets.
The Design & Innovation Award was sponsored by McLaren Automotive, and rewards companies that have shown demonstrable, quantified benefits, both from a technical and financial perspective. Credit is given for positive environmental impact, proven results, unique and innovative solutions.
Collecting the award from Joe Elford, Head Of Engineering – MCTC McLaren Automotive, were Amanda Lyne, MD and Gordon Nelson, Operations Manager.
Guest Speaker at the event was Mike Hawes, Chief Executive of the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders.
